Testo critico

GRAZIE FRANCESCO… GRAZIE!

In this work you can feel the profound value of patience, that silent virtue that accompanies those who know how to wait without forcing time.

Ardita paints with the heart, letting every brushstroke become a of listening and every reflection a possibility of understanding. Light does not completely dissolve shadows, just as knowledge never completely erases doubt.

It is precisely in waiting that the poetic force of ‘U MARI’ resides, in the absolute awareness that not everything must be understood immediately, that some truths need to settle, like the waves that chase each other without ever repeating the same. DOUBT, in this vision, is not weakness, but a superior form of attention that means knowing how to look again and question oneself.

The large magnifying glass seems to amplify not only the classical concept of the sea, but the artist’s own thought, transforming the landscape into a happy and completely interior meditation.

Francesco Ardita, with the sensitivity of someone who has crossed time and knows its value, reminds us that painting, writing and making also means knowing how to wait: waiting for the image to find its own voice, for color to meet light, for doubt to turn into emotion.

Because I strongly believe that, sometimes, the truth is not revealed to those who seek immediate answers, but to those who have the sensitivity to listen.

THANK YOU FRANCESCO… THANK YOU!

U MARI

U MARI

In ‘U MARI’, Francesco Ardita gives the canvas not only the sea, but a profound reflection on existence, time and the essence of doubt. The sea, rippled by restless waves crossed by reflections of light, becomes the mirror of a soul that observes, waits and seeks, without expecting immediate answers.

At the center of the composition, the large circular shape looks like a magnifying glass suspended between sky and water: an invitation to look beyond the surface, to grasp what is hidden in the great folds of reality. It is through this symbolic lens that the sea reveals its dual nature: movement and stillness, certainty, uncertainty and mystery.
